Center for Community service & Continuing Education

CENTER FOR COMMUNITY SERVICE AND CONTINUING EDUCATION (CSCE)

The Center for Community Service and Continuing Education (CSCE) identifies and meets the public’s training needs through specialized training programs. The center also offers preparation programs for professional certification, enabling the greater community to benefit from our academic expertise and other technical experiences and resources available at the University.

Our programs and training courses are offered in Arabic and English, depending on the nature and context of the respective courses concerning the students.

The center contributes to the development of society. It encourages community participants in dealing with its colossal difficulties through various training, workshops, seminars, symposiums, conferences, short courses, and diplomas of the continuous education programs. The center directly networks with civil society organizations and provides short courses for continuing education purposes.

The center’s importance is to bridge the relationship between the local community and the university by removing the educational obstacles from disadvantaged groups in the community, such as age and financial status. Since its inception, CSCE has collaborated with MU academic departments to provide community-tailored continuing education courses and training workshops. These training programs have gained the community’s recognition, as reflected by the growing demand for more course offerings.

For the academic year 2021-2022, the Center for Community Service and Continuing Education plans to offer training in both face-to-face and distance learning methods based on societal needs.
